Holiday Gift Guide For: Him

Share

Buying for men is always a challenge (well, for me anyway) but there are actually lots of clever and handsome treasures out there that he never knew he needed!

I have compiled some of my favorites for this year. Things to make him feel special, smart, handsome, hip and loved. All that's missing is a full head of hair! Have fun and if you have a great man-gift that you would like to share, PLEASE share it! We need all the help we can get!

1.) Khiels Hand & Body Lotion (Pour Homme Scent) at Nordstrom ~ Not only is this lotion (in any scent) the best in the business, but the scent is all man. I mean, I have been known to just hang out smelling the bottle. A perfect combination of “Old Spice” and “I am too young and hip for Old Spice” and far from too cologne-y. He will not only have great skin, he will smell amazing too!

2.) Yonka Massage Oil Candle at Skin Attraction ~ This is actually a gift for both of you… Actually, all joking aside, this is kind of an incredible idea. The candle itself is lovely and ambient, but use some of the warm wax as massage oil and you've got some of the most nourished skin you have ever had and maybe have had some fun doing it. The “Amber” scent is perfectly manly and will make him feel like he has a trick up his sleeve. In truth, this is also the perfect product for someone who has really really dry feet or hands…a little of this before bed plus socks and you are good to go!

3.) Barstow Western Shirt at Levis ~ Am I the only one with a thing for the cowboy/lumberjack look? This handsome, rugged and super warm shirt from all-American Levi's will keep him warm, have him turning heads and will probably just get better with age. (Just like him)

4.) Drumstick Pencil Set at Enjoy ~ a perfect stocking stuffer for the dude in your life that is always drumming on things. You know the type right? Every surface is a reason to make some noise? The counter, the car steering wheel, and when particularly moved, the air. Why not inflict that on his co-workers at the office and get him this pencil set? I can think of nothing nicer. In the Chicago area? Please stop by this incredible shop and scoop them up in person!

5.) Limited Edition “LOST” Poster at Mattson Creative ~ Got a “LOST” fanatic on your hands? These limited edition posters are the creation of design wunderkind Ty Mattson of Mattson Creative (and Curly Girl Design website fame). He created a series of episode specific posters during the wind-down of the series that sold out so fast he decided to do one more. This time a compilation of all the season's images on one print. Each one is signed by Ty and numbered. Get one for you or your favorite fan soon!

6.) “The Good Men Project” book & “Rules for My Unborn Son”  both available at Powell's Books or your local bookshop ~ These are two of my favorite man-books this year, although, they are good to read yourself too. Find out more about them here and here.

7.) Handmade Bow Tie at Forage ~ made by the clever folks at Something's Hiding in Here these beautifully made, impressively packaged and totally hip bow ties are the perfect thing for your “Mr.Masters of Ed”. Crafted out of the coolest fabrics they look great on and will set him apart at this year's New Year's Eve party!

8.) iPad Case by tovicorrie on Etsy ~ Ok, I am now officially obsessed with these guys! A perfect manly case for your rugged, tech-savvy dude. Handmade, really unique and totally practical. Love.

Any suggestions? I am keeping a list of good man-gifts for future use!!

xoxo
