Got someone that is particularly hard to buy for? A lovely lady that seems to have it all? I know the type. These girls are often our nearest and dearest, so it makes it extra frustrating because we want to give them something special, and something that they will actually really love!
They key is going personal, useable, or one-of-a-kind. All of these categories can be minefields for the unsure or conservative gift-giver, so I have created a handy cheat sheet for you to get you started. The most important thing is to think about the person you are giving this to…what makes her heart sing? What would she maybe never buy herself? What would she totally love but doesn't know about yet? What would inspire her? What would be a daily reminder of how loved she is? These questions are great beginnings to a perfect gift. Here are some of my suggestions:
1.) Make it Personal! Personalized Lovebirds Print from Fancy Prints on Etsy ~ Help her celebrate her love in one of the cutest ways I have seen. These lovebirds prints are personalized with the initials of the couple carved in the tree and can even come with little birds in a nest to represent little ones! They are available in several standard sizes and many different colors making them completely customizable!
2.)If you must give a gift certificate… Gift Certificate to Mondo Beyondo at Mondo Beyondo ~ Help her follow her bliss with the gift of this six-week e-course. Creators Andrea Sher and Jen Lemen have put together a whopper of a workshop to help her uncover her courage and confidence around her biggest dreams. Just a warning though, doing this workshop will REALLY make her “the girl who has it all”.
3.)She probably has Hunter Wellies, but she probably doesn't have these cozy Cable Cuff Wellie Socks by Hunter at Nordstrom ~ these not only add some winter style to her work horse wellies, but they will keep her feet super toasty!!
4.)Speak to her spirit. These 'Truths' necklaces from Pieces of a Girl are a beautiful way to remind her of how loved she is and help her remind herself too. In gold and silver, with over 10 different sayings, there is certainly something perfect here for her.
5.)Practical and perfect in every way. Royal Jelly Body Butter from Savannah Bee at Marmalade. This cream is among the only things that I have found in all of my lotion-using life that will keep my hands from feeling like cardboard all day long in the winter. It is made with royal jelly, which is the most precious product of the beehive. It has a wonderful, light blackberry scent and will be a mainstay on her desk or kitchen counter.
6.)Handmade Heaven. The Coal Grey Circular Scarf from Trisha Fern on Etsy sets itself apart from the crowd with its chunky texture, perfect go-with-everything-and-totally-flatter-her-skin tone color and beautiful crafts-womanship.
7.)Spoil her! I have been longing for a handmade one-of-a-kind piece from Elva Fields for quite a while but this “Filled with Opportunity” necklace just made my heart stop. Designer Emily Wheat Maynard has one of the best eyes in the accessories business and has a talent for creating a frenzy. Using vintage elements and a perfect color pallet, these pieces will take your breath away… and totally charm and surprise her. Shop fast, these sell out before your eyes!
8.)Something useful for her soul. What could be better than something that speaks to her heart and holds coffee!!? I mean, really. Grab her a Curly Girl thermal mug in her favorite saying then fill it with a hot bev and take a long walk and chat.
Got any favorites for that girl on your list? Share them!
